Rain rain go away...

It has been raining so much here that I feel the need to build an ark. Sophia loves the rain. She and Bob went out exploring in the rain last night. She put on her raincoat and boots and took her umbrella with her. We have a dry pond behind our house that fills up with water when it rains. This is an endless source of fascination for her.

When it rains like this I really don't feel like getting out of bed. It just seems like it is not time, because the sun does not seem to shine.

I really have to start getting ready for vacation. I have some cleaning to do and lots of laundry to do. YUCK, I hate the laundry. Since I live in a townhouse, it means going up and down lots of steps. Usually, Bob will help me with this which is a great relief. With my growing tummy, it is sometimes hard to maneuver the steps with load of laundry in my hands.

Sunday was Sophia's tea party. I will post more about that when I get some pictures resized and ready to post. I think she had fun. It was a bit chaotic and I was very tired that evening and yesterday, but I think it was worth it.

For those of you who are ready this in Maryland stay dry. If you are lucky enough to be someplace dry and sunny then I am glad for you.

Have a great day!!

Yeah, but well needed the rain. It's been a pretty dry spring. I'm hoping for some dryer weekends though.

"Sophia's Tea Party" Isn't see a little young to be hanging out with all the ladys from the society pages in their dusty victorian homes with their dolies and what not?

Otter - Of course you are right about needing the rain. I just wish is would be over already. We were hoping for a few inches of rain for the pool before we left for vacation. We got what we wished for. I do have to admit that it is sooooo green outside due to the rain and it is quite pretty. Our grass will probably be a foot tall by the time it is dry enough to mow!

I don't think any society lady would have wanted to deal with twelve very busy kids, most of which were under four. Damned be society, Sophia attends anarchy tea parties!!!

Ugh-I'm with you on the rain thing. Eastern Pa here and I feel like we're drowning!

No central a/c either so everything is just ick and I refuse to wash laundry that will never feel completely dry.

With you on the growing tummy deal too ;O)

I found you...gosh I don't remember where!

Anne - Thanks for stopping by. I'll bet you saw me on Culiarary in the Desert. I love that blog. I have to start checking yours out, too!

One of the reasons that I actually turn on the AC is due to the humidity that we have in this area. I hate when our carpets feel moist!

I think that Sophia really did enjoy the tea party. She kept visiting with everyone in all the different rooms. She had a big smile on her face every time I saw her. I think she loves a house full of people!
